Overview
A member is the person whose identity you're checking in the Verify module. Before you can run a verification, that person needs to exist in the system, with the details that let the platform match them against the records it checks.
Most of the time you won't need to create members by hand. If your system is connected to your core system or customer relationship management (CRM) platform through an integration, members are synced across automatically and they'll already be waiting for you. Manual entry is there for the times when you need to add someone who isn't in that flow, like a one-off check or a record that hasn't synced yet.
This guide walks you through adding a member manually, from opening the form to confirming the record's been created.
Manual entry only
The steps below apply to manual entry. If you've got an API integration in place, your members are already synced from your core system or CRM, so there's nothing to add here. For more on how that works, have a look at the API integration documentation.
Create a member
- Click Members in the secondary navigation menu to open the members list.
- Click Add new to open the Create member form.
- Fill in the member's details across the three sections of the form
- The Create member form, grouped into Account Details, Address and Superannuation Details.
- Click Save to create the member.
Tip
The more accurate the details you enter, the cleaner your verification results will be. Double-check the name, date of birth, and address against the member's documentation before you save.
That's it, your member is now created. You'll see a notification at the top of the screen confirming the record's been added. Click View member in that notification to jump straight to the member's details, or carry on and find them later through search. Either way, they're now ready for verification.
