Overview
A landing page is the destination your recipients see when they click through from an email or SMS — somewhere you can serve up personalised content, statements, or interactive forms. Before you can design one, you need to create a draft. The draft is your working copy: a placeholder where you'll add content, set up the layout, and refine everything before publishing.
Drafts live inside the Templates tab of your Application, alongside any email or SMS drafts. Creating one only takes a moment — you give it a name, pick the right type, and tick the channel it's for
Before you start
You'll need an Application already set up, with your data fields configured. If you haven't done that yet, head to the Create a new Application guide first.
Open the Templates section
Drafts live inside the Templates tab of your Application. Here's how to get there.
- In the secondary navigation menu, click Applications to view a list of all available Applications.
- Double click on the auto-highlighted Application, or click the Settings icon on the right-hand side of the list view to open it.
- Click the Templates tab in the Application settings.
You'll land on the Templates view — this is where any drafts, previous or current versions in progress show up, and where you'll add new ones.
Add a new draft landing page
Once you're on the Drafts page, you're ready to create your landing page draft.
- On the Drafts page, click Add new to open the new draft settings.
- Enter a Name for your draft. Something descriptive helps later — e.g. "Statement landing page v1" or "Welcome microsite".
- Select a Type from the dropdown. Simple - Visual Email/HTML designer is the default and suits most use cases.
- Under Channels, tick Online. This is the channel that flags the draft as a landing page rather than an email or SMS.
- Click Add to create the draft.
That's it — your new landing page draft will appear in the Drafts list, ready to be opened and built out. From here you can jump straight into the designer to start adding content, styling, and any personalisation tokens you need.
Add a landing page to an existing template
Already have a current version published — an Email, SMS, Document, or another Landing Page? You don't need to start a brand new draft. You can add a Landing Page directly to your existing template using the Actions menu, so everything related to that communication stays grouped together.
- Open the template you want to add a Landing Page to. You'll see it listed under Current version at the top of the page.
- Click the Actions button on the right-hand side of the version.
- From the dropdown, click Add new channel template.
- In the dialog that appears, tick Online under Channels to add a Landing Page.
- Click Add to confirm.
Your new Landing Page will be added to the existing template as an additional channel. From here you can open it up in the designer and start building it out, knowing it's already linked to the rest of your communication.
